Albireo July 23rd 2011 reprocessed

I was waiting for it to clear to see Jupiter and webcam it, not to mention the Leonids but was clouded out. Instead, I revisited one of my early attempts at webcamming with Albireo (the famous double star in Cygnus) from July 23rd 2011.

  1. I have just started out with a Skywatcher 150P and got hold of an SPC900.

I imaged Albireo with it for the first time this past week. 1st attempt was only 6 seconds of video before cloud rolled in :( the second attempt was much better with clear sky and a nice long capture.

I'm interested to see how my images compare with others of this subject taken with webcams - which is how I came across your blog!

In your image, the stars seem to 'glow' especially the primary star.. whereas in mine they look more like a reflective objects - like a billiard ball! http://www.flickr.com/photos/jstr/9205367536/
